The 2022 Porsche 911 is currently only available in two range-topping trims. The Turbo S Coupe and Cabriolet are powered by a 3.8 liter 6 cylinder engine that pushes power to the limits, with the Turbo S making 640 horsepower and 590 torque.
The engine is paired with a Turbo S specific 8 speed PDK dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. Other features include electric power steering and a hydraulic decoupler of the front and rear sway bars, known as Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control. In addition, the 911 Turbo S features an enhanced Porsche Traction Management AWD system, which makes the transfer case distribute significantly more torque to the front wheels. Inside, the 911 Turbo S interior features styling touches consistent with Porsche's Panamera and Cayenne. Digital gauges replace the earlier analogue version and the center console sports a 10.9-inch color touchscreen monitor for navigation and stereo functions. Standard features include power adjustable front seats, leather GT Sport steering wheel, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, leather seats, leather, carbon fiber and silver accent interior trim, BOSE surround sound system, Sport Chrono package, ceramic composite brakes, and a rearview camera. Overall, the 911 Turbo S strikes a good balance between being a focused sports car and a luxurious cruiser, never feeling too hardcore to keep its occupants comfortable.
Optional extras make the 911 Turbo S highly customizable with features such as an electric sunroof, front axle lift system with GPS location, adaptive cruise control, ventilated seats, variety or color and material options and a Burmester surround sound system. The optional sport exhaust system is distinguished by oval tailpipes in a black or silver finish with adjustable exhaust flaps. The Porsche Active Suspension Management system can be upgraded to sport suspension with a lowered ride height.

For the 2022 model year, Porsche has brought back the GTS and GT3 trims, as well as updated the infotainment system.
In the world of high-performance sports cars, the 911 is arguably the most iconic model in history. Though the design has continued to evolve over the last 50 years, the fundamentals are still in place: rear-mounted flat-6 engine and a precision chassis developed with handling in mind. Together, the components add up to a sports car that is hard to beat both in terms of aesthetics and performance. The 911 is a capable competitor to other sport coupes such as the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi R8, BMW M3 and Nissan GT-R.
